The early Festival years
The Sechelt Arts festival began in 2004 with a summer weekend outdoor festival in Hackett Park. The festival underwent a number of formats including a weekend of concerts at the airport before its reimagining in 2011, when it was moved to the current October date to drive shoulder season tourism and align with the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl.
